Vila Real de Santo António, known locally as simply Vila Real, recently held two fantastic events. Just perfect for enjoying stunning views on relaxing summer evenings, as the sun goes down over the Algarve, in Portugal.
The first, started on the 20th of July, was Jazz in the Garden. This musical event was placed on the waterfront, by the Marina, every evening from 6pm until 10 pm for a week.
The second, started on the 24th of July, was the International Beer Festival. With craft-beers being served, every evening from 6 p.m. until 1 a.m. also for a week, on the waterfront avenue in front of the Capitania building.
Vila Real de Santo Antonio is on the far eastern Algarve, bordering Spain. This town, sitting on the river Guadiana, displays many classic Portuguese features. These include the patterned calçada (cobble) pavements, which are worthy of standing back and admiring. The town square, Praça Marquês de Pombal, is central to the town and partially enclosed with orange trees. This area, which is popular with both locals and tourists, has shops, cafes and restaurants. Vila Real has its own beach, which is about a couple of miles of uninterrupted soft sandy beach.
Tee Times Travel Agency, with customer satisfaction and business integrity at its core, is here to offer support as holiday destinations are considered, whether in Portugal or Spain, and holidays booked. Top recommendations for accommodation on the eastern Algarve include Eurotel Altura, Monte Rei Golf & Country Club, Yellow Monte Gordo, Hotel Apartamento Dunamar and more.
