Tee Times Algarve Holidays – 29th Seafood Festival (Festival do Marisco) – Garden Pescador do Olhanense, Olhão, Algarve – Portugal – 9th-14th August 2014 – 7.30 pm – 1.30 am

Set in the beautiful gardens of Pescador do Olhanense, adjoining the paved walkway of the Formosa river, this gastronomic seafood extravaganza will entice and tantalize the taste-buds of all those attending. Described as the biggest event of its kind in Europe, chefs will over the 5-days show-off their skills as they create innovative seafood recipes for all to sample.

There will also be various stalls selling local and regional handicrafts, sweets, honey and other home-produced artisan products. With a full lineup of live music during this festival, including the internationally renowned Portuguese singer-songwriter Tony Carreira and the Portuguese fado singer Ana Moura, this festival could well satisfy more than just the taste-buds.

There is an entrance fee for this festival, with tickets purchasable on arrival. For those wishing to book holiday accommodation on the beautiful and diverse Algarve, Tee Times Tour Operator recommends Real Marina ResidenceVilamonte Gourmet Golf & Spa, Hotel Eva and more.

Olhão is known for the fascinating sight of its old-quarter townscape of whitewashed houses with flat roof-terraces, displaying a Moorish influence on the town’s architecture. The fishing port of this town is one of the busiest on the Algarve, with the result that there is a fantastic variety of fish and other sea-life for sale daily in the town’s picturesque and lively market. While the town does not have a direct-access beach, there are several island-beaches that can be reached by public ferry.

For Golfers, the selection of golf courses on the Algarve is outstanding. Among this fine selection Tee Times Golf Agency recommends San Lorenzo, Pinheiros Altos, Quinta do Lago South, Quinta da Ria and many more.
