Madrid golf courses change greens to white

The golf courses of the Madrid Community have changed the usual green of their meadows for pristine white, showing images rarely recognized.

The storm Filomena has left a dream postcard but the maintenance staff of all of them work tirelessly so that the golf courses can open as soon as possible and, in this case, be the refuge of many athletes who, more and more, come closer to the golf facilities to practice an outdoor sport and in which they see a safe setting for sports, away from the health problems that we live.

The Madrid Golf Federation continues to be the first community in the number of federated, with a third of the total in Spain and has almost eighty-three thousand members.

Tee Times Golf Agency is happy to suggest the Madrid VIP GOLF PASS, played on the 3 stunning courses; Golf Santander, Centro Nacional RFEG and Golf Retamares.
As well as the very competitive golf courses; La Moraleja, Olivar de la Hinojosa, Villa de Madrid, Club de Golf Aranjuez, El Encin Hotel & Golf.

Madrid a city for golf and with thousand charms

Golf Santander in Madrid

Golf Santander

Madrid a city for golf

If you are planning a golf holiday next season, Madrid is a good choice.

Maybe tourism is not one of the best options right now, but hopefully, it will be soon, so we invite you to travel again and discover all the places you wanted to visit before the pandemic. A golf trip to Madrid is a must, at least once in a golfer’s life.

It is a destination that offers a great variety of activities also for the non-golfing companion because there are so many visits that you can do while you play golf. You will have to take a day to visit the most historical and cultural places, a day to play golf and another day to enjoy Madrid with some shopping. If you have more time to explore and learn about the best experiences in Madrid, great, but if not, this is a plan we suggest you just in case you want to plan a long weekend in Madrid.

The Gran Vía is the main access road to Madrid and you will have everything within walking distance. There is a wide variety of theatres, stores, hotels, restaurants… it is very popular, and also very safe. The prices of Madrid hotels are also very reasonable for a big European city unless they match some important event.

If you are going to attend any of the theatres in the area, or you are going to move around the old part of the capital, we recommend you to stay in the old city. This area has been greatly modernized in the last five years and is one of the places you can’t miss on a golf weekend in the capital of Spain.

Gran Via, Chamberi, Barrio de Salamanca are very good options since the access to the exits of Madrid are very fast if you do not go in the rush hour.

We highlight the great and very central 4-star Hotel Princesa Plaza, with its spacious rooms, magnificent views and interior gardens.

From the city centre, you have easy access to play the golf courses of the Centro Nacional, Golf Santander and Retamares Golf.

You can take a look at the Madrid Golf Pass, a special rate for playing 3 golf courses at a very reasonable price. You can’t miss it.

Remember that both hotels and golf courses work with free cancellation policies up to 24 hours before arrival.

We would recommend the private tours with a private guide, as well as the established tours in a program that works very well. Both options list several different types of activities to see and do in Madrid, which you can combine with your green fee on the golf course you play. Tours can vary from a tour of the city to a local cooking class. And keep in mind that Madrid and Spain are not just summer destinations. You can discover that visiting Spain in winter may be more attractive monetarily and calm.

Private transfers will be organized from the airport to the hotel as well as to the golf courses and everywhere you need.

Tee Times Golf Agency is more than pleased to assist you and to offer you the best golf packages and all the necessary additional information.

The Madrid Golf Courses Association (ACGM) grows thanks to the incorporation of the Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro Golf Course, one of the oldest and most exclusive golf course in Spain. With this, there are now nineteen Madrid golf courses that are an active part of the ACGM.

The ACGM, which just two months ago added the emblematic Real Club La Moraleja Golf Course to its portfolio, continues to grow with a view to the best possible future for golf in Madrid. Courses as new as El Encín Golf Course (inaugurated in 2011) or Santander Golf Course (inaugurated in 2005), find in this association a place of union with historical courses such as Puerta de Hierro Golf Course or the Real Sociedad Hípica Española Club de Campo.

Tee Times Golf Agency also highlights other magnificent golf courses in the Madrid region, such as Retamares Golf Course, Olivar de la Hinojosa Golf Course, Park Golf Course, National Golf Center and Aranjuez Golf Course calling your special attention for the El Encin Hotel with its appealing prices and stunning views of the greens.
